Privacy policy
Who we are
This policy explains what personal data we collect on this site and when you buy Daily Driver OS, and what we do with it. The site and the product are run by Thota Bala Bhaskar Sai, an individual based in India, who decides how this data is used. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Thota Bala Bhaskar Sai.
What we collect
- When you buy: the details you enter at checkout (your name, email address and phone number) and the order details our payment gateway sends us (amount, date, payment ID and status). We do not receive your card, UPI or bank details. [payment gateway name] handles those.
- Inside the kit: your copy carries your name and order number in its files, so a shared copy can be traced to its licence. The kit sends nothing back to us. It makes no network calls and has no tracking. Claude Code itself talks to Anthropic under Anthropic's own terms.
- When you email us: your email address and what you write.
- When you visit the sales page: analytics data, described in the next section.
You do not need to create an account.
Analytics and advertising on this site
On the page that sells Daily Driver OS we use two third-party tools: Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel. We do not use Google Analytics.
- Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use the page: scrolling, clicks and taps, mouse movement, and which parts of the page they see. It turns this into heatmaps and session recordings so we can see what to improve. Clarity hides text typed into forms, numbers and email addresses by default. Microsoft also receives technical details such as your device type, browser, screen size and IP address, which it uses to estimate your approximate location.
- The Meta Pixel tells Meta when someone views the page and when someone taps a buy button. Meta receives technical details such as your IP address, browser, device and the page address, and may connect this to a Facebook or Instagram account you are logged into. We use it to measure and improve our ads on Instagram and Facebook.
- Cookies. Both tools set cookies in your browser: Clarity sets _clck and _clsk, and the Meta Pixel sets _fbp (and _fbc when you arrive from an ad). They may also use their own cookies on clarity.ms and facebook.com.
- Notice. When you first visit, a short notice at the top of the page names these tools and links to this policy. The tools start when the page loads. Tapping OK only hides the notice.
- How to opt out. At the bottom of the sales page, tap "Turn off analytics in this browser". Both tools then stop on that browser, and we delete their cookies on our site. You can turn them back on the same way. You can also block cookies or turn on tracking protection in your browser, and control how Meta uses your activity in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
We use these tools only to improve the page and to measure our ads. We do not use them to find out who you are.
Why we use your data
- To deliver your download and send your order emails.
- To answer your questions and handle refunds.
- To keep the records the law requires, such as tax and accounting records.
- To protect the licence: to find out which order a shared copy came from.
- To improve the sales page and measure our ads, as described above.
We email you about your order and about updates to the kit you bought. We do not send you other marketing emails unless you ask for them.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services that help us run this shop:
- [payment gateway name], which processes your payment.
- Resend, which sends your order email.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this site and sees the technical details of each visit, such as your IP address.
- Microsoft (Clarity) and Meta (the Meta Pixel), as described above. Their own policies: Microsoft privacy statement and Meta privacy policy.
We also share data when the law requires it, for example with tax authorities or in answer to a valid legal request. Some of these services process data outside India.
How long we keep it
- Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is [period the CA confirms].
- Support emails: up to 3 years after your last message.
- Analytics: as long as Microsoft and Meta keep it under their own terms.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us:
- for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we use it, and who we have shared it with;
- to correct, complete or update it;
- to erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it (order records for tax, for example);
- to stop using it where we rely on your consent;
- to name another person who can use these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
Email hello@dailydriverhq.com. We acknowledge your request within 2 business days and resolve it within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
This site and the kit are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to keep your data safe, and we never store payment card details.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
